CAPANS

Children and Adolescent Physical Activity and Nutrition Survey (CAPANS)

In response to rapid increase in the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents, The Physical Activity Taskforce conducts the CAPANS survey to provide a measure of physical activity levels and nutrition behaviours of West Australian children and adolescents.

CAPANS 2008

Data collection has been undertaken for CAPANS 2008 and will be completed and reported on in 2009.

CAPANS 2003

In 2003 children in years 3, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11 from 19 primary schools and 17 secondary schools across WA were surveyed about their physical activity and food intake.
