Physical Activity Guidelines for Children (12 - 18yrs)

Developed by the Department of Health and Ageing, this brochure outlines the national physical activity guidelines for children between 12 and 18 years of age. It also provides ideas for getting active and explains the reasons to be active and limit screen time.

Two key points to note are that:
- Children between 12 and 18 years old need at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day.
- Surfing the net, watching TV or playing video games should be limited to no more than two hours a day .
