National Preventative Health Strategy
The Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon Nicola Roxon, launched the National Preventative Health Strategy on 1 September 2009. The Strategy provides a blueprint for tackling the burden of chronic disease currently caused by obesity, tobacco, and excessive consumption of alcohol. It is directed at primary prevention and addresses all relevant arms of policy and all available points of leverage, in both the health and non-health sectors.

Closing the Gap Strategy

National Disability Strategy

Australian Sport: The Pathway to Success

Australian National Preventive Health Agency
The Australian National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA) was established on 1 January 2011. ANPHA’s job is "to be the catalyst for strategic partnerships, including the provision of technical advice and assistance to all levels of government and in all sectors, to promote health and reduce health risk and inequalities".
