The Strong Spirit Strong Mind – Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Framework for Western Australia 2011-2015 has been developed to provide guidance to key stakeholders, such as the alcohol and other drug sector and a broad range of government and non-government agencies, towards delivering culturally secure programs and supporting Aboriginal ways of working in order to strengthen their efforts to manage and reduce alcohol and other drug related harm in Aboriginal communities.

Closing the Gap Strategy
A national integrated Closing the Gap strategy has been agreed through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG), the peak intergovernmental forum in Australia. It is a commitment by all Australian governments to improve the lives of Indigenous Australians, and in particular provide a better future for Indigenous children.

Town of Narrogin: Active Seniors
With a high number of seniors in the area, the Town of Narrogin established an active seniors group to encourage residents (including CaLD and indigenous members of the community) to participate in physical activity with the assistance of community groups.

Shire of Katanning: At Risk Populations
With a very diverse multicultural community the Shire of Katanning sought to expand on existing programs to improve regular participation in physical activity.
