  • A wealth of case studies are also available from the New South Wales Government, Premier's Council for Active Living on the subject areas of Cities, Towns and Neighbourhoods, Walking and Cycling Routes, Public Transport, Streets, Open Spaces, Retail Areas, Active Travel Workplaces and Plan Making.
  • The Heart Foundation also has a range of case studies available from their website including details of projects completed by previous winners of the Local Government Awards program involving Planning for Active Living, Employee Health and Wellbeing, Facilities, Healthy Weight and Priority Groups.
  • The Healthy Spaces and Places website contains case studies which give a snapshot of policies, programs and projects being undertaken around Australia that encourage physical activity through changes to the built environment and have resulted in, or aim to improve mental and physical health. As such they are practical examples of the key principles and processes of Healthy Spaces and Places.
