National Physical Activity Guidelines

The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing have developed a set of national physical activity guideline brochures for children, adults and older Australians.

International physical activity guidelines are also available.

More recently, for the first time ever, in July 2011 physical activity guidelines for all four UK home countries were introduced covering: early years; children and young people; adults; and older adults. The guidelines will help to ensure consistent messaging across the four UK home countries and can be downloaded from the UK Department of Health website.
