The Appendices document describes the case for walking from health, recreation, transport, environmental and economic perspectives; outlines selected Local Government and non-government organisation case studies which have achieved success in getting more people walking; and provides links to other Western Australian strategies. The Local Government case studies outline two projects that have been supported by the Premier’s Physical Activity Taskforce Local Activity Grants through Lotterywest and the Western Australian Local Government Association.
